I ordered a PNY 8800GT but curently am not near my computer and was wondering if it will work i have a feeling i might need to up my PSU but as i said i cant currently check and i have checked other forums and it seems that Dells are hard to upgrade its a Dell Dimension 9200 the specs are

    Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 (2.66GHz, 4MB L2 cache)
    Memory: 2GB DDR2 SDRAM (677MHz)
    Graphics: 256MB nVidia GeForce 7900GS
    Sound: On-board Realtek AC97 HD audio (7.1-channel)
Storage: 320GB hard drive, DVD±RW drive.
    Operating system: Windows Vista Ultimate/XP/Mac
    Connectivity: 10/100/1000Base-T (Gigabit) Ethernet
I/O ports: Eight USB 2.0 ports, 7.1-channel audio out, microphone/line-in.

I would also like to know if anyone knows if it is possible to keep my current card in too so i can have four DVI ports for four monitors

    Any help would be appreciated

The main problems are if it will fit and will it have enough power. The psu in your dell should have enough poewr for it. It should fit as well as long as you don't have one of the slimline pcs. You could keep your other graphics card but you'd need a second pci express slot. The 9200 wouldn't have that.

Would you know how to find out if my power supply is compatible with it and im pretty sure its not a slim its a fairly big box and as far as the other graphics card goes ill save it for a later machine

my dell vostro 200 fits and easily powers a 9600gt by xpertvision

The 8800gt and 9600gt are pretty similar in size(and power too) and my dell vostro is a mini tower so is even smaller so yeah you should be alright
