    A simple question, are lolcats funny??? Personally I cannot stand them, as well as other memes (yore ma included). what do the rest of ye think?

    Yes, they are awesome. That thread in coll pics had tears running down my face when I first read it is was so funny.

    The poor grammar is deliberate. Sometimes those captions annoy me, but the cats themselves are hilarious. So yes, lolcats are funny.

    Traditionally on boards.ie lolcats are used to signify or signal an undignified end to a thread and are used almost exclusively in Feedback. They might be used when the purpose of the thread has expired or the OP gets side tracked or if the thread was insincere or vexatious.

    My idea is to introduce loldogs, these can be used to directly combat lolcats. Occasionally users are desperate to use their lolcats and one usually gets introduced prematurely which can trigger others. A loldog could be used to chase away the lolcat.

    The OP could use them as desperate attempt to stave away the lolcats and hang on to their thread and dignity for a little while longer.

    Don't find them funny at all, mostly because cats are evil and I never thought that typing funny as "teh funneh" was cool.

    Motivational Posters are generally much better.
