well, recently ive started listing to alot of artists along the lines of boys noize, toxic avenger, and the likes, and for the last while ive been wanting to get started!

so what im wondering, how much would the basic stuff set me back?

which would be better, cd decks or vinyl? for getting started that is!

id like 2 get to decks and the mixer (i think thats what its called), and the decks, pref a drive set!

cd or vinyl is entirely up to u if u get vinyl you'll prob need to get a vinyl emulation software like serato etc so u can play mp3's off ur laptop as vinyl isnt that easy to find!!

As much as I love vinyl, I really wouldn't recommend starting on it now... (let's not open that can of worms now though)
Go for pioneer CD decks if you can afford them

    cdj,s.
you simply cant get the tunes you want on vinyl these days and its expensive.you could probably get 4 tunes on download for the price of one on vinyl.
as for a mixer you wont need an expensiv one(pioneer, allen&heath, korg) for quite some time.get a basic one.vestax do great mixer and id recommend one of those.
on the cdj end,try and get pioneer cdj 1000s as thats what youll find in most clubs

If you're looking for a mixer, I'm selling a great entry-level 2-channel (link in sig) for 50 bones.
Thought I saw some decks on adverts.ie too?
