Help - 3V Messing me about :(

I got an email from 3V asing for 43 euros, because apparently my account overdrafted. The problem is that as far as I can see they're ****ting me. For a start, the card IS listed at a negative amount, but it's -16 and I still have no idea how it got like that.

The site is a shoddy mess and I can't view some of the entries in the transaction history, it returns an error. As far as I can see I'm being charged twice for the same thing.

And what's great is that they've only given me 10 days to makethe payment, and of course it's friday now! Sorting it out alone could take 10 days, and I live nowhere near a post office at the moment, getting into town is awkward.

This looks like a glitch on their behalf, but I'm not sure what to do.

Anyone lse had a similar experience?

But they say if I don't pay it I won't be able to buy any more. If I don't have a 3V card I can't buy anything online.

Ringing them up would be the best job. I hate the 3V website. It can be quite buggy at times.

Not really much help :( It takes months to resolve a dispute they say, it doesn't look like it'd be worth my while...

Is there an alternative I can get to 3V cards? What about the post office thing, someone had a trick for loading it in their paypal accounts...

    What "post office thing"?

I thought An Post were running some kind of online payment thing for certain stores, and someone found a way of getting it into their paypal balance.

Anyway, what happens if i ignore it? I haven't heard back from them in a while. Maybe it'll sort itself out in a few weeks. I'll see if I can get another 3V voucher to see if they've locked me out.

Go onto the 3v website and apply for a new card. Use a slightly different version of your name and address and use a different DOB. Work away from there.

Hah, grand idea. Might try that.

It's been a few weeks though, and haven't heard back to them. Managed to load 200 euros onto it. So either it's been resolved or forgotten. They must have realised the mistake.

Beware that they could suddenly deduct the money.

same thing happened me only it was fourteen euro, and i did go over with the card.... i just had to send them a cheque making up for it..

what happened was i bought something (headphones) i think form iheadphones, anyway the payment didnt go through so i just went on and bought something else, then iheadphones carged me for the headphones, leaving me in debt on the card...

check with the places you spent on, make sure they didnt overcharge you

its sounds like a mistake with the people you bought from.... in my case it was iheadphones.com

Well, they got back to me again today demanding the money.

I am really fuming over this. I am on disability so I can't afford to cover for other people's mistakes.

I have no idea what to do. They have been completely unresponsive, throwing out copy/paste responses.

    This is not ****ing fair.

Time to escalate your complaint to the IFSRA, since you're getting nowhere with 3V. In the meantime, you could follow Bond-007's advice and get a new card if you want to keep using one without buying more vouchers on the current one.

He will need to get a final response letter from 3v before he can escalate the matter to the IFSRA/FSO. So he will need to write one final time stating that he requires a final response letter as he will be referring the matter to the FSO. The phrase "final response letter" must be used. They must provide that by snail mail within 25 business days.

You can't go any further without that.

Edit: Do 3v have a physical snail mail address? You may need to send your final response request by snail mail as they can simply deny receiving an email.
