    tbh, if Hed Kandi (or whoever else have run out of original ideas) commissioned a by-the-numbers remix of a different song you'd probably have the same thread up. Suprised they haven't mutilated 'Papa New-Guinea' yet.

    As a serious aside this kind of stuff (Strings of life 're-release' etc...) is adding more and more credence to my theory that we're heading back to the days/community/style of Acid House - tis only drunken rambling but it goes something like

    Economic Boom -> Recession
    Scenesters -> Music Lovers
    Cocaine -> Ecstacy
    Clubs -> Warehouses/Beaches

    Nice remix alright, like the video too... nostalgia all the way, the monged-out heads on them in it! :pac:

    Hed Kandi despite the cheese have actually released some cracking albums over the years that cannot be denied,unfortunately they have become too commercial and really only cater for a specific type of crowd these days

    Economic Boom -> Recession
    Scenesters -> Music Lovers
    Cocaine -> Ecstacy
    Clubs -> Warehouses/Beaches

    Now wouldn't that be good (not the recession though):pac::D

    Not really. Classic rock bands reforming didn't bring back the 70s.

    I can feel something new and exciting emerging though, I just don't know what it is yet :p

    On topic: Nice track. I love all those clips from old news reports :D

    Aha, a bunch of old fogeys (Zep included) reforming for the cash has little or nothing to do with that.

    Think of it in terms of a overalll sociological thing - Acid House, as the denizens of the boards are so found of telling us, was about more than just the music. A lot of the original circumstances in which Acid House was spawned are now re-instated - economically, socially and now, apparently, musically. We've got the never ending war abroad, the oil crisis, the 'terrorism', the looming economic recession, the clamp down on licencing laws and such... here's hoping the reactionary response will be the same this time around.

    Indeed. But it won't be a reincarnation of Acid House, it'll be something different.

    early Hed Kandi is very good actually, and Back To Love 2008 despite them cashing in on old skool has some cracking tunes on it, but overtall they are cheesemeisters
