Hi I'm travelling to France by car/ferry next week and just discovered that my insurance company does not cover roadside assistance in France. Anyone recommend a company that does not cost the earth for assistance?

    The AA offer European assistance.

For the last couple of years I have used a multi trip insurance package that has motor cover with Jardines, only cost €104 for a family of 4.

The road side cover is by "Europassist", thankfully we have never had to use them but they were a lot cheaper than the AA.

AA is very expensive for european travel esp if you have a car over 5 years old. Cost me almost 200 for a week trip to France a few years back.
