Basically I changed the name online, but was unable to pay to fee as I didn't have a credit card, now that I do, is there any way you can pay the outstanding fee online, instead of holding for a few days on their phone lines? Can you pay the outstanding fee at the check in desk?

If there is anything extra to be paid before they will give you your boarding card then they will gladly take it off you at the airport.

So if I go to the check in desk on the day of my flight with my E100, they will accept it there, and not cancel it the day before or something cause it wasn't paid? Does it have to be done a certain amount of time before checking in or at any time?

How did you manage to change the name without paying the fee? The name change will only go through once the CC payment has gone through? If you didnt put in CC details, then surely it hasnt been changed. Just go through the process again and change it.

Dont leave it till you get to the airport, as name changes can only be made up till 4 hours before I think.

Anyone shed some light on whether this can be paid at check in?

Not sure how helpful this is but.... I recently had to add a name onto my booking for my nephew. Took me 4 days to get through to some who could help but she took the booking , told me he had to book in at the check in desk (I also asked to pay for a bag). She told me the total and sent me through the booking reference. A day later I got a refund of €3.63 or some random amount of money.

When we arrived at the airport , not only had the bag not been paid for (so had to pay €20 instead of €10 ) the check in fee hadn't been paid either , there was no problem about it. They just sent me to the sales desk and I paid the extra. So I imagine it would be the same for you.

Just one thing to watch. I hadn't taken a print out of my detailed booking. I thought I'd just pay the extra and then check afterwards to see what was on my original booking and if I had paid twice I could complain. But when I went on line to check they had processed through the extra payments as if they were on the original booking so it took a while to unpick what I had originally paid for. So would recommend as well as double checking that you have got everything you thought you had on your booking, also taking a print out in case of confusion at the airport.

Did you get it sorted in the end Artane? May have to change some flights myself due to work commitments and also have no credit card?
