Murray looked good last night - thought he ould have stopped him its he really pressured.

he was sitting behind me watchin the Rock and Dunne fights and seemed a really nice fella.

managed to go to the after party in the Burlington and was speaking to both him and Fagan there (I'm such a boxing groupy/geek - getting photos taken etc!) and I have to say there is an awful size difference between Fagan and Murray. Much more than I thought tbh

despite saying previously that fagan would stop/beat Murray - I think I now take that back

I don't think there is a card planned for the National Stadium at the minute, only cards for Citywest Hotel, Neptune Sports Arena in Cork and the Gleneagle Hotel.

Big Ears what shows are in the Neptune Sports Arena and Gleneagle Hotel?? Any high profile Irish fighters pencilled in to fight.

Obviously the Hylands are fighting in the Citywest

That's a Gary Hyde promotion and the 2 Cubans there(other than Perez) have also been World Junior Champions.

The Gleneagle Hotel one is Sunday the 26th of October, it is a Pro Box Live and hence Promoted by Brian Peters and shown on RTÉ 2. The card will feature Mike Perez, Michael Sweeney, Ian Tims, Stephen Ormond and Anthony Fitzgerald. Now you may notice that there is no real headliner there. I am almost positive that card is far from complete and the word going round is that Andy Lee will headline the bill which would seem to make sense as he is fighting again in Ireland in October.

I'm guessing if Lee is headlining that we will have one other domestic name there aswell at least such as Andrew Murray or Paul McCloskey but I am only speculating.

It is good to see that Perez is going to be more active again. The quality of his opponents should improve too.

I hope to god Peter's makes that card stronger, cause that wont be a sell out unless its a real small arena. Yes if Lee and Murray were on it, it would be a sell out for sure. Reckon Lee will definately be on it

Bit here about the Killarney show (at the end of the piece): http://www.independent.ie/sport/other-sports/olympics-2008/irish-news/lee-backs-nevin-to-net-medal-in-beijing-1443220.html

It's being promoted by former top amateur Phil Sutcliffe and not Peters. According to that it will be headlined by Mike Perez.

I thought Sutcliffe had gone into training pro fighters in Dublin(there currently isn't a pro gym in the Republic, only in the North) but I had no idea he had gone into promoting. I thought I had heard Peters name mentioned with this promotion in Killarney and ticketmaster have it as a 'Pro Box Live', but I guess I must be wrong.

Boxrec have it down as Sutcliffe as well. Strange thing though is that it's on a Sunday night although I think Dunne's first defence of his European title at the point was on a Sunday as well.

Ormond has been on about going pro for years. I think actually he was to make his debut in Bolton on the same night that Khan made his debut. It was said that he had signed up with Frank Warren back then but nothing ever seemed to come of it.
