hi - could anyone recommend a name for golf lessons in Dublin.
Also, what is the average going rate for a half hour / hour lesson?
Have heard that it's better to get a lesson then practice a bit before a second one so aim to go with that approach.

Maybe we could have a sticky thread for people looking for lessons because it seems to come up all the time.

If people used the search function a little more then it might cut out a lot of the repeated threads.

as graeme says, people just need to search, we can't have stickies for everything, there would be nothing but sticky threads if all the suggested threads were stickied.

It doesn't do any harm to have similar topics come up either, plenty of people aren't regular users so may not have seen threads in the past. Helpful pointers to previous threads are welcome of course..

I did search and all I found was a discussion about leapordstown golf range. might have been less effort to actually provide some info as opposed to lambasting the supposed non-use of search functions...

That wasn't directed at you, but was a general comment.

Anyway, perhaps if you answered my query in response to your original question people could actually help you.

The cost of a half hour lesson will range from 35 euro upwards.

thanks Graeme. I'm based in Blackrock so I might try Leopordstown but the thread on the recommendations there weren't really that definitive on who to go to up there...

Cool, there's quite a few southside golfers on here so i'm sure they will be able to recommend someone.

Ones that have been recommended in the past are...

    Dave Lavelle in Spawell

and David McIntyre and Mick Allan, who i think are both in Leapordstown.

I went to the one in dundrum sc over the weekend and found it to be very good. Cost is 45 euro and it lasted for over 35 mins to 40 mins. I was not rushed out of their.
