Just a question if any1 can answer it for me.

I work for a small construction firm and they way they pay is terrible! They may pay me ona fri, mon, tues sat! Whatever they feel like but sometimes say if i'm due my wage on Fri I wont get my wage till next wed or fri - which leaves me very stuck! Plus I dont see any wage slips at all! And I have to say this is pissing me off terribly! Can I get anything done about this? Like Im probably the lowest paid out of the whole company (theres not that many that work here) and I wouldnt be coming out with their thousands per week! I dont think they understand that I have a mortage, creche fees, bills etc to pay for!

Sorry Im soooo pissed off as I got paid yesterday and now today I had an extra lodgement form them in my account which I assume is next weeks wages and I go on holidays next wk and am now wondering about my holiday pay !

Can some one advise me -
BTW I've already highlighted to them that I depend on my wage WEEKLY!

    Thanks

Talk to your boss and get some sort of contract drawn up that you need to be paid each week on a day that suits both parties. Explain to him your concerns and issues.

you're probably being paid under the table, ie not PRSI contributing, etc.
Tell your boss that he will have to start paying you correctly, wage slips, direct lodgement into your bank account every week/fortnight or whatever.

Either that or make a deal with him for a hundred or so extra a week (anymore wouldn't be worth it for him, more than likely).

A very unusal situation you find yourself in. For starters all Employers are obliged (Law) to provide a Contract of Employment to all employees, clearly stating, job description, responsibilities, pay rates, frequency etc etc. Employers who breach employment law will pay dearly in the event of a dispute.

Employers must provide employees with payslips clearly showing gross pay and all applicable deductions. It is so fundamental it is unbelieveable that any employer would not issue payslips etc.

You should immediately demand copy of employment contract, payslips etc, any fudging, I would report the matter to Employment Appeals Tribunal in Adelaide Road, Dublin.
