Short-term Voluntineering whilst travelling

If I wanted to combine a one or two week volunteer experience with some backpacking, how could I arrange it? I'm cool sorting ot my backpacking, but I figure I need to go through some sort of organisation to do the volunteering?

Hi there - try Global Volunteer Network, they have short term volunteer placements in lots of countries worldwide.

I know in Vietnam and Cambodia, they had notices in hostels/guesthouses to go work in orphanages. Help the kids with speaking english and that.Locally run projects.
