Did anyone else hear on the radio news last night about a guard being shot in Wexford

    I was on the way home from work yesterday eveining and the news headlines were announced (cant remember the station but i think it was a cork station) and the main one was that a guard had been shot and killed in enniscorthy garda station. When i went home it wasn't on teletext or any of the news that i watched that evening...all my housemates are saying i dreamt it! Did anyone else hear this??

    Yeah.. but the guards reported it as a tragic incident, and weren't looking for anyone in relation to it.

    Must've been in a bad way, suicide at work in the middle of the day would be relatively unheard of.

    I remember there was a case maybe last year of a Guard in Harcourt St being found dead - was that suicide too?
