    ive played oads of times with a bongo player and it definitely goes down well.
    as for a straight up drummer im not sure if it would work.
    bongo player works great especially if you cut the music really quick and let him do a lil flurry then whack it back in.
    make sure the fella has good timing though

    i really cant imagine it workin but nothing stops u tryin it and provin me wrong. try it somewhere before u try it in a club show a few people get some opinions maybe u could make it work some way i just dont really see how
