It got a bit of an UI overhaul. There's a link scanner now as well that tells you if a site is flagged as dodgy in your search results. This has caused some hassle -- causing lots of traffic and slowing down browser performance for some.

Im testing it on a 2machines at present and it seems to be ok-ish. The main issue I have with it is that it has bundled AVG Antispyware (previously ewido) with AVG Free and as far as I can tell you cant just run a spyware scan, you have to run a full system scan which includes all the Antivirus signatures etc and takes ages. I actually like the add in for IE\Firefox etc and havnt found any speed issues with it as of yet.

Don't like it as much as the previous versions (7.x) as I only want a virus scanner and none of the extra crap. The advertising and prompts to update the free version to the full bloatware version are also more intrusive than they used to be - yet another anoyance. But free is free so I won't be changing till it gets worse.

    its great

i have installed it on about 40 machines
only issue i see is that it asks to restart sometimes after updating, even if the option to wait for restart is ticked
noticed that it doensn't always update automatically on dial up

i did get called to a computer once that didn't boot after it was installed, but might have been a seperate problem
