    Hi Whyner,

the only one that springs to mind at the moment is Brittas Bay, fab beach depending who you ask its either 5km or 5 miles of beautiful sandy beach, access for horses is restricted to off peak times as far as i know.

    Hope this helps

    Hiya Kens,

Have you been on it before? I know Brittas well enough but haven't been there in a while.

Do you happen to know the permitted hours? Would love to go there very early...

    Thanks...

    Hi Whyner,

Its been almost 10 years since I rode in Brittas Bay, i think its before 10am & after 8pm but dont hold me to that as I'm sure its changed since then but if you contact Wicklow CC or search the web you can confirm the times, its a fab beach to ride on esp in the winter or early mornings when its deserted ! ! !

Have to say I've missed your lesson updates how are you getting on?

    K

Haha, the awl lessons. Yeah going well, had one there on Tuesday and did 4 or 5 jumps at the end of the lesson.

Got the last one spot on and he jumped it smoothly and broke into a canter. Instructor told me that was exactly how it should be done. I knew it was a good one cause it just felt right, you just know don't you!

Still just doing lots of trotting, circles, serpintines, cantering etc.....Luckily had my first outdoor lesson on Tuesday as we got some nice sunshine.

Apart from that, I do some hacking with my girlfriend and am always nagging her with "can I not tack them up on my own?" and kiddy requests like that...

Best yet was last week cantering through a lane with overhanging branches and with water and mud splashing up all over me. I was on her horse and he's so strong.

    Here's the divil himself:

    He's too nice!!

Thanks Kens. I downloaded that pdf but the maps weren't attached.
