lagging jacket on hot water cylinder

I've got a foam insulated hot water cylinder in a hotpress.
Would I get any benefit from putting a lagging jacket on it even though it is already insulated with foam.
The cylinder is heated on night saver electricity and my hope would be that the water wouldn't be tepid hot in the evening and I wouldn't have to put on the immersion for 15 minutes to heat it up in the evening.

The lagging jacket won't add any additional heat saving if the tank is already insulated, You might try adding pipe insulation to the hot pipes leaving the tank and covering the joints with an insulating tape like thermawrap.

    +1.

But if you are using the hot water during the day it's going to get colder regardless, as you are adding cold water every time you use the hot. If you aren't using it during the day and it's not hot when you get home you may have a leak/dripping tap, much better for you to find out if you have a leak/dripping tap then adding extra insulation.

this seems interesting, may look into covering pipes in the new house
