howdy people. the other day as i was taking in a concert in québec city, where i've been staying for the past month and will remain for another month before my return to the eastern edge of the pond, i stumbled upon a support act that intrigued and excited me and i thought i might share this with you folks as i know you would appreciate it if you haven't already heard of him that is... so below are some web links for you to check out as his show can't be described in words, except to say it rocks.. well i'll add some of the things i saw.. a big "pipe" contraption with a bass string and trigger buttons for samplers.. loop and pedal operated drums at his feet.. as well as using the pipes percussional attributes as well.. can only assume that instrument is self made... plugging a jack plug into a cowboy boot and using said boot as a percussion instrument... using a bow on the string of the afore-mentioned pipe instrument... well i guess using a bow on a string can hardly be called experimental.. but anyway... check it out... and if you get a chance to see him in concert.. go for it.. the performance is as good as the unusual instrumentation...

well he did a tour od australia a while back.. the dvd he was selling at his show was filmed there... i don't know a whole lot about him tbh, except that from what i see on his myspace page, he's quite a busy man... i imagine if enough people in europe bombard him with myspace comments he might be inclined to come this way
