Ghost Recon 2

I bought this game for €25 in the Play.com sale last week and felt I just had to post what a great game it is. It is, in my humble opinion, head and shoulders above the likes of Haze and Turok - Haze in particular being a complete pile of sh!te (if I hear the stock phrases from Haze "remember your promise to Morino" or "today Mantel will fall" again, I won't be responsible for my actions )

Ghost Recon might be getting a bit long in the tooth but the action, both run and gun, stealth and tactical if brilliant. The
levels were you use the minigun in the blackhawk against ground and air targets is excellent - did COD4 rip this off?

I'd recommend this game as it is a thinking man's shooter were you can use UAV's to scope out the ground in front of you for enemies and cover before you can advance. You can also call in air support. Brilliant game and now at a cheap price.

Preferred Rainbow 6 myself, but COD 4 is better than both of them put together.

I had the original Rainbow 6 for the pc and I thought it was boring and generally crap. Maybe its improved for th eps3.

Agree that COD4 is a great game but Ghost Recon is better than the sh!te thats been released lately.

I played the demo of Ghost Recon 2 and was surprised at how **** it was in all departments. I guess my biggest problem is having already played GR2 on PC, but I didn't expect THAT MUCH of a climb down in graphics etc. I haven't played the full game but the demo is supposed to give you a good taste of what to expect, so I'm avoiding this like the plague.

The original Rainbow 6 games on the PC were very very different to the more recent Rainbow 6 lockdown/vegas games. They're really entirely different games, they should have gone with a completely different name for the lockdown/vegas games, I guess they just wanted to try and get some brand recognition from the 1st three, which was silly because while they were very popular they definitely weren't to many people's taste.

I really enjoyed GRAW2, but not half as good as CoD. GR was much, much better than R6V though, didn't like that one.
