CardBus WiFi Adapter

I am about to purchase a WiFi PC Card on behalf of a friend for use in their laptop but am a bit confused by the whole PC Card / CardBus / PC Express Card / Type 1, 2, 3 etc. range of cards.

The laptop is pretty old, it is a Toshiba SP 4600 as spec'd here:

Which supports Type II or Type III PC Cards.

So I sourced this card which I am considering buying but I'm not fully sure if the laptop will support it:

So does a laptop which supports Type II & III PC Cards also support CardBus cards, or would the spec of the laptop have to specifically say that its slots are CardBus slots? The laptop is from circa 2001/2002 and it seems CardBus has been around since 1997..

Hi Jargha,
I found this useful. It seems that Type I,II and III are just physical specifications for the cards and not related to it being CardBus or the old PCMCIA PCCard. My 1999 dell latitude has a Cardbus slot so I think you're pretty safe with your toshiba.[SIZE=-1]
