    Hi Jargha,
    I found this useful. It seems that Type I,II and III are just physical specifications for the cards and not related to it being CardBus or the old PCMCIA PCCard. My 1999 dell latitude has a Cardbus slot so I think you're pretty safe with your toshiba.[SIZE=-1]

    "the CardBus specification was released in 1995. Typically, any device manufactured before the second half of 1997 will almost certainly not have a CardBus capable slot.
