I take a lot of CVs in, in my job. The amount of spelling mistakes is laughable and the format is terrible. Some are 4 pages with 5 spaces between each line. I always throw them in the bin. Get someone experienced to look at it of you can.

    What are you looking for?

Part time summer, full time summer, or a full time job?

Lots of the pt jobs are gone now with the summer hols in. If your search is limited to the city centre your limiting your chances
I would say you best bet would be tesco, superquinn, spars.
Some pubs will take ppl that look 18.

go to the temp agencies and look around but before you do anything make sure your CV is suited to the jobs you are going for. Keep it concise and include a cover letter where possible, also suited to the company.

I worked hard on my CV and graduated last month and have a job set up for next year. But going travelling this year till then. Have seen some of my mates CV's and some are bad enough seeing as though we are all graduates.

CV is the first thing the employer sees so it is very important, no more than two pages at most.

Register for the temp agencies and various job sites and keep applying. Dont lose hope. there are jobs out there from what ive experienced.

Would you consider doing promotions for the moment? The pay is quite going around 10-15 euro p/h? Its quite easy work and can be fun.

I did a stint last summer when i was having problems getting a job. You don't need a car for a lot of the companies.

Check out www.jobs.ie they advertise there all the time.
