    Hi,

I've been looking for a solution to this problem for a few days now and i've been unsucessful so I said I'd ask about it here . .

Basically I came home and my Macbook was on 0% battery, but it was closed all day and It definitly had some battery when I left, anyway,

When I booted up I noticed that Photo Booth was gone off my system.. now I've extracted it from the Mac OS X CD and installed it again but it seems to be an old version? And it wont store any pictures taken.

When I take a picture, it just does the usual count down, flashes, then i cant do anything else with it. (even tho the camera is still working perfectly normal)

I really dont want to re-install the OS so any help would be appriciated, thank you :)

2.0.2 (73) here (10.5.4). Does running Software Update offer any updates for Photo Booth?

Yeah I saw 2.0.2 was the most recent update on wiki there,

Sorry no I meant to say that it doesnt offer me any updates, which is strange. I've been googling everything until all hours the past few days and found nothing but re-install your OS.

    Cheers

Are you on Leopard or Tiger? Afaik 1.3 was the last version of Photo Booth released on Tiger. Version 2.0.2 came with Leopard.

That sounds like a Tiger CD you extracted it from. Is the Leopard DVD you got an upgrade DVD or the full retail version? And have you tried using Pacifist?

Yeah im just thinking that now. . im not gonna lie to you im not sure. I just got the CDs in the box when I bought the mac and its been a good long while since i installed the OS.

the leopard disk says "Mac OS X Leopard - CPU Drop in DVD"
    if that means anything!

    Yeah i tried pacifist too

Yeah it's an upgrade disc. What you need should still be on it though.
