Help setting up a rule in Mail

I'm using the Mail app with my Gmail account.
I've noticed whenever I send a mail from the web-based Gmail, it that message will show up in my Mail inbox, rather than in the the Sent folder. Fair enough.
I want to set up a rule to avoid this though, so that any mail I send from the web Gmail will automatically go into my Sent folder in Mail and be marked as read.

So I've set up a rule stating:
If [any] of the following conditions are met:
    [From] [Contains] "My full name"
    [From] [Contains] "my email address"
    Perform the following actions:
    [Move Message] to mailbox [Sent]
    [Mark as read]

But sent emails still appear in my inbox!
I've tried just using: [From] [Contains] "My full name" OR [From] [Contains] "my email address" but still the same result.

Could anyone help me with this? Must be a really simple solution.

how are you accessing gmail...POP or IMAP?

if its imap you need to point the sent mail folder to the corresponding sent mail on the gmail server....you do this in the account prefs

Rule move [mail from yourself as sender] from Inbox to Sent Mail.

Thats what I do and it works just fine!

    Thanks for the replies guys!

    It's POP, not IMAP.

440HZ - that sounds perfect, but I don't see that option - I only see these:

what version of Mail are you running? I have mine going to the Sent folder under my Gmail mailbox, and marked as read - you can't really see that in this shot. Oh and I edited out my email address, obviously you put yours in there! ;)

    Thanks! It's Mail 3.3
I've done the exact same as your screenshot, but unfortunately they still turn up in my inbox. I'm going to have a look through this to see if I can get it solved:

Ok, the above link seemed to work.
The only extra things I did was:
add another criteria: If From does no contain [my name]
added another "then" rule to - "Stop evaluating rules"
And in Mail setting clicked the checkbox for outgoing SMTP server to use only this server.
Not sure which of those made it work, but it looks good now!
