    From this thread
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055307573

There are loads of good, free events on in Ireland all the time, and so often I find out too late. And it sucks.
I am saying "no more"! No more shall I be told by a friend that "this was great, there was free food". No more shall I hear that an author was in a bookshop in town, the day after it happened. No more shall I miss an informative lecture, just because I fail to notice the ad in the paper.
Until the forum above is created, post all free events in this thread.

Details (& tub of Vaseline) forwarded to Snyper.

I'd call this thread a resounding success.

Please post your support for this forum in the original thread, linked to earlier.

Think how funny it will be, when 200 boardsies show up to an theoretical physics debate looking for free booze.

A bloody good w@nk is not only free in both Dublin and all of the island of Ireland, but throughout the rest of the world.

If I can think of anything more constructive I will post again.

Haha, thanks to the 'art community' I get pissed for free on average every 2-3 weeks due to openings and such. Some of them even gots appetisers! Granted whilst everyone is dressed up, me and a few other scruffy art students make a b-line for the booze but we haven't been turfed out of one yet!

The Limerick Tunnel Public Open day on Saturday 26th July is a unique opportunity to see the tunnel in all its glory before it is immersed under the River Shannon. After two years of dedicated design and construction work, the Limerick Tunnel project has achieved a major milestone with the completion of the immersed Tube Tunnel Elements. The target date for immersing the tunnel is September 7th so this public day on July 26th will be your last chance for us to show you this marvel of modern engineering before we bury it beneath the Shannon.

Just giving this a small bump. Better than starting a new thread...

    ....isn't it?

Festival of World Cultures 2008 is on in Dun Laoire this weekend. Most of the events are free, and in previous years it has been amazing fun.
