    Brilliant to see Albie Thomas this evening at Santry during the graded meeting. He trotted a 400m to great applause. He said the only reason he set the world 3-mile record there in 1958 was that he was chasing Merv Lincoln who, unbeknown to Albie, was time-trialling the first two miles :pac:
