    Hi all,
This may seem like a silly question - But I can not seem to see any flights.
Do Aerlingus or Ryanair fly to Slovenia??

The gf was there recently, lake bled and ljubljana. If i recall correctly, they flew home from trieste after flying into Salzburg because they particularly wanted to go there, and travelling down through Slovenia.

Ryanair used to fly to Maribor but seem to have cancelled the route, although their airport in Graz (Austria) is pretty near. Easyjet fly from Stansted to Ljubljana if that's of any use. AFAIK there are no direct flights from Ireland to Slovenia....I think Trieste is on the main Venice - Ljubljana train line though. Oh, and there is a direct train from Pula (Ryanair fly from London) to Ljubljana in summer - takes 4 hrs or so...

You can indeed fly here direct from Dublin. A Slovenian airline called Adria have one flight each way on a Saturday. Runs till September sometime, after that your only slightly direct way is through Stansted. Pula is fine if you have lots of time, nice train ride, but really does take a day of your time. Have a look at Adria, http://www.adria.si/en/index.cp2

Adria are VERY Very expensive. over 1,000 for a ticket peak season

You can fly with Ryanair to Venice direct, and it's an 5 hour plus train journey to Ljubljana, (but the train only leaves Venice at 9pm).

Or you can fly to Ljubljana via Paris with Air France. It's about 380 return with Air France, and 130 return to Venice with Ryanair. I think train is about 80 euro.

Dunno if it's an option, but Ryanai via Stanstaed to Klagenfurt? It's on the Austria/Slovenia border...

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Easyjet fly there, you should also check out lastminute.com or travelsupermarket for some good deals. Is it your first visit to the country? I have never been but would be interested to know what sort of holiday destination it is.

Adria can be very, very expensive, but i got a ticket return to Dublin for 320 euro a month ago. So there are deals to be had.

And i agree with all the comments about Slovene women! And i know, i married one! :D Great place for weddings too if thats on the cards for anyone.

I will have to meet up with all these people travelling through Slovenia some day! How do i miss you all!!!! :D

Trieste is a good option via STansted, easy to get down to Ljubliana.

Lake Bled is my favourite place in Europe for a holiday. Unfortunately i haven't been to Slovenia in quite a few years.
I visited it a few times when it was Yugoslavia as well and just after the war.

Don't fall into the lake though..:o

ope to make it back there in the near future. The only reason i haven't been recently is because the lack of a cheap flight there.
Thinking of a trip to Serbia soon as well so hopefully make it back to Bled.

Skiing in Kranska Gora is brilliant. Ljubliana is supposed to be a very lively city now as well.
