Advice on buying a Saxaphone and Lessons?

    Hi,
I am looking at buying a saxaphone. I have never even held a saxaphone in my hand :)

    A couple of questions :
    - I am looking at a second hand Odyssey. It is €550. Are Odyssey any good?
What do I need to look out for?
    - Lessons ; Waltons offer a set of 4 for €128 which is reasonable. I am 32. Is it a bit late to start learning Sax? Is it difficult to learn? How long before I am proficient in it?

    Any help or advice appreciated..

    Thanks in Advance

There is a place up in temple bar somewhere that is meant to be the best place in ireland to get a sax, cant remember the name of him tho, think his name is paul something. Dont know much about the makes of saxes but if you just got a cheap one to start you off and then eventually you can go out to buy a much better one in the future.

    where you from?
