Just got an ezine from the GUI about golf clinics they are running up at the Academy in Carton.

€190 for a full day in a group. It says the group will be limited to 5 people.

A bit of grub included too but does not list who the pro is.

Personally, I don't like this kind of thing.

Others might disagree but I believe that having a short lesson, working on one specific learning for a week or so, coming back with that learning in some way ingrained and moving on to a further improvement is the way to gradually improve your technique IMO.

The main plus here is that you only have a small amount of info to focus on at a time and you have time to work in a new move and then come back to the pro so he can check your progress.

I know there's probably all aspects of the game covered in the day but it's a lot of info to take in in one go.

If you covered half the amount of info in 4 lessons in 4 weeks on a one-on-one basis, for the same price (50 quid a lesson) you'd probably improve more for the same money.
