Getting album art onto an iPod without an iTunes store account?

Basically I wanna get all the album covers onto my iPod but in order to do that apparently I need an iTunes account. Seems straight forward enough, but apple wont let you register one without having a credit card even though they say they wont charge you anything until your first purchase and the album art is free. This is because they hate people being happy and getting what they want.

Anyway, is there any way at all around this, any way to get an iTunes store account without a credit card or get the art without an iTunes store account?

This website -> www.art4itunes.com was the only thing I could find but I've around 10k songs and individually dragging and dropping every album cover would take me far far too long to be worthwhile so is there anything else I can do?

Sorry if this has been asked before but a quick search revealed nothing...

Try Media Monkey or Tag Scanner, they work perfectly with Zens and Zunes
    - can't vouch for ipods, maybe try iartwork.

Another app I often use is Album Art Downloader

What's wrong with just using Google Images. :)

Try - Toolbar > Advanced > Get Album Artwork

You should get a good few that way if your stuff is legal.

Google Images pictures are always blurry

Search the album/track on wikipedia, chances are there will be album artwork on the page as well, then click on the artwork itself and it should come up in a larger size. Copy and paste to artwork section of 'get info' in itunes and there you have it.

Cheers for the help lads but the problem with all that and doing it manually is just it'd be very time consuming, I've over 10k songs on my iPod so it'd take all night. I'll try those apps Gran suggested, cheers for the help, if apple were slightly user friendly it wouldn't really be an issue...

    http://www.ipodsoft.com/site/pmwiki.php?n=iart.Homepage

Download this..It works really quickly through your songs.. You get 200 free and then it says you have to sign up..But just delete it and download it again..Worked for me anyway

Cheers for the link, I'll try that tomorrow.

Iartwork also works very well but has the same limitation, didn't try deleting it so that may work for that too

I actually never tried it, one of my mates just gave me his credit card since I wouldn't actually be charging anything to it. I'll probably give it a go anyway since the itunes library of album art seems to be fairly lacking.

Are you a windows or Mac user?

If you are using a Mac theres a great little widget for it that will find album art on any tracks or albums highlighted in itunes.
