I arrive in Belgium on Monday the 21st for the start of my IR trip. I heard it can be a quite boring city but I've recently found out that this is their Independence Day. Has anyone ever been to Belgium on this date? Do they go crazy this day and celebrate it with a day's binge or is it more relaxed where they 'remember' their roots:confused: Cheers

Brussels is actually quite a nice city wiith some lovely restaurants and bars. It has some of the best beer in the world and a lovely gothic architect feel to it. The people are very welcoming too and there is lots of culture. The only con would be the weather which is very dull a bit like ireland tbh. Anyway, i hope you have a nice visit. :D
