Have been to Krakow and Prague. Krakow is absolutely amazing. Auschwitz is a must-see and the city itself has lots to see and has an excellent nightlife.

Despite what everyone says about Prague, I wasn't too gone on it. It's tourist mad and is very busy. It didn't help that on the first night there we were constantly getting harassed to come into "titty bars" and also that it was the first stop on the way to a music festival. Does have some good nightclubs though and Absinthe.

Sounds like a very good trip to me though. We got over-night trains around the area too, pretty decent by-and-large. Just be prepared to be woken up when crossing certain borders, often with a gun in your face and "passport" being yelled at you.
