How much is a Nikon 5700 worth?

I am thinking of selling my Nikon Coolpix 5700 but I'm not sure what to sell it for.

Amazon.com have it listed for $1,188.00 which I'll gladly accept but know it's ridiculous.

eBay and price comparison sites only seem to list accessories.

It's in very good condition, with original box and accessories, additional battery and carry case.

    Any suggestions are appreciated

surelt thats a mistake on amazon,
I opened ebay and a quick search shows two auctions ending in less than 3 hours,
$124 and $147.50, and a buy it now for $225 (bare in mind dollars)

I'd say you'd be lucky to get around €100 or thereabouts for it. Consumer digicams tend not to age well price wise. That said, I bought a Fuji s602 around the same time for about 800 or so (and the 1 gig card cost me another 300. Ha !), It crapped out recently but up until then I was still using it for the occasional bit of digital photography I wanted to do. I would have been lucky to get anything at all for it though had I wanted to sell it. Its not so much the cameras themselves that lose value, as the perception of them being any good amongst the buying public.

Unless you're desperate for money to upgrade to a dslr id say keep it,for the money you'd get you're better off having a back up.Maybe try putting it on adverts that'll be your best bet a beginer in photography might see it

I remember paying close to €800 for mine back in the day too. How things change.

It's been sitting there unused for a while now and whereas I mightn't get much for it, somebody might get some use out of it.
Might stick it up on Adverts
