So a back molar decided to lose 1/4 of itself while I was eating a choc bar :(

Now I went to the dentist and she said i'll need root canal and a crown, she said this will cost about €1500 is this expensive or about normal?
Can I claim tax back on this?

I had a front top tooth knocked out when I was a mid teen. So one of my other top teeth was moved across and composite material was used to crown it as a temp measure until I was older. Now 10 years later it's pretty discoloured so I spoke with the dentist and got some options.

Basically the composite covered tooth will be moved back to its original position and if needs be back a little bit further as she says the implant will need a little bit more space. so thats the option I'm going for. I will be going back to her in a couple of weeks to get a filling as it wasn't urgent and I need to wait to see a specialist for the root canal.

Firstly I know it's a tough question to answer but would anyone have a rough figure for something like this?
I'm going to presume I can claim tax on it if it'd done in ROI but what about if it's done in NI? I was thinking of having a consultation with these guys
