Why not just get a set of 2nd hand genuine ones? They will be better made items too.
Any particular style you are after?
MVs or MV2s?, "M Sport" wheels found on Sport models, ///M3 alloys, Alpinas, Schnitzers?

How about the ones I'm selling?

    http://www.adverts.ie/showproduct.php?product=60459&cat=45

They are from an e46, I've seen them before on 320Ds.

    Genuine BMW wheels too.

Shame - they are very nice wheels, and I would have liked them on mine.

A few of the BMW breakers in the UK sell alloys. Here's one site to get you started:
    http://www.fabdirect.com/

I had an E46 320d as well and put 18" MV2 replicas on. They looked quite nice, but were quite easy to scuff and buckle.

The ride was a good bit harsher as well, and I seemed to get more punctures.

If I was to do it again, I would have gotten genuine 17" wheels with a slightly larger profile - just like the ones quarryman has for sale actually.

Also, pretty much everyone has MV2s as well these days.

This crowd do lots of replicas: http://www.alloy-wheels.ie/bmwrep.html - There are some nice AC reps for 850 including tires.

what year is your car? you lose your warranty if you put spurious alloys on

    Loose your warranty? Doubt that.

The car has to be at least a couple years old anyway if it's an E46, so it's probably not in warranty either way.

Planet Auto have a great selection of the spurious Bmw wheels. Try them.
I think i am seeing the downside to having replicas now. In between the spoke on one wheels is a bit scratched (very very light) from using a sponge to wash them (although i was washing the inner park as well).

    NEVER using a sponge again:rolleyes:
