nokia 2630 - work in Canada?

    my dad is going on hols to canada for a few weeks - will the nokia 2630 work there? Or should he just buy a cheap prepay when he gets there?

    It is a triband phone, which works on 1900 MHz, so it should work just fine there.

    Don't think it will work, Nokia website says its Dual Band but he can chance it!! What network is he?

    gsmarena says it's dual band as well - but if has 1900 then it should be ok?

    he's with vodafone - was going to get him an upgrade for his birtday - I am assuming that vodafone will unlock it before he goes?

    only vodafone bill pay will work in canada, canada hasnt great agreements with any of the networks really
