    Hi all,

I bought a kenwood dishwasher last year from currys ( 9/6/07 ) and within the last day or so the door wont seem to close without giving it a good shove. I think the spring loaded catch could be faulty. I didnt go for the rip off cover that they offer so I was wondering if my receipt is still valid.

Legally no, but I there could be a 2 year warranty on it. I have a sneaking suspicion.

How would I find out if there is a two year warranty on the product??

Sure if not I reckon I can order the part for under E20, save me the bother of carting the dishwasher back to Blanchardstown.

Check the model on Kenwoods website, it would be a manufacturers warranty, not a retail one!

If the dishwasher was not damaged by abuse then you can go back to the seller of the dishwasher for it to be fixed or you can choose to go the manufacturer if you are also covered by them. If you repair the item yourself then it can be claimed in the future that a fault was caused due to someone working on the machine that was not qualified to do so.

Your receipt is valid forever as proof of purchase. You are covered by the seller for the length of time the dishwasher should last for (as long as not abused or misused).
