If its the new 3G iPhone you mean then unfortunatly you will not be able to buy it to bring home to unlock. Apples policy now is that the phone must be bought and activated with an AT&T contract instore at the time of purchase.

poor buzz for me.. is there anyway around it?

The old one shouldnt be a problem if they still stock it. Just say its for a friend, leave store and unlock. Apple site should have a price.

I think the easiest thing you can do to get an iPhone is go to http://www.adverts.ie and buy one there.

if they are bringing in this new policy for the 3G phone it's more likely they'll enforce a contract on the old iphone as well that's if they do indeed stock it after july 11th
