The ultimate zombie threat?

A lot of people think runners ruin the whole zombie genre. I gotta say though, the opening scene of 28 Weeks Later was so terrifying and confusing that Runners are defo the way to go... It's all to easy to just board off your windows, but when you've got these bad boys to deal with, it's a different story.

Obviously, as they run out of food/deteriorate a bite, they'll become the shambling moaning hoard we've come to fear, but that first week or so of runners... that'll sort the men from the boys.

So, your opinions? Runners, yay? Nay?

I'm hoping for shamblers, but you just cant be too sure.

Well runners arn't the living dead are they not, just people infected, since they die of hunger doesn't that mean they ain't zs?

whereas infected dead bodies = zombies.

usually both infections are mutually exclusive

zombies = people too thick to realise they're dead
runners are just people who're really pissed off.

Shoot a runner in any vital organ and you don't have to worry about them, shoot a zombie anywhere but the head and you're just wasting ammo.
