Bill pay versus Pay as you go

    Hi there,

I'm in the market for a new phone - budget about 200 euro, no more. I'd like decent internet capability and something robust and reliable. I'd prefer a slide phone or a flip phone cos I hate the idea of the gaps between the keys getting filled with crud :P

Well it seems that most decent phones are on the Bill plans - I've never had a bill phone before, only spend about 30 euros a month MAX on credit. My credit is being covered by expenses at the moment (which won't last forever) and I'm afraid of being screwed over by bill charges etc.

What is your average bill? Can you recommend a decent phone on a pay as you go plan, or worst case, on a bill plan?

    Thanks for your suggestions!

I'm with Metoer billpay and i find them to be the best price wise esp if you have other friend with them. You should check out each providers website and check out price plans as for phones it totally depends on what you want to use it for(ie calls email ect) But Sony Ericcson happen to be really good at the moment W910i is down to 169 (meteor payg) at the moment but if you want to go on to bill pay you will get it cheaper!!

What sort of money are you looking at? I know it varies .. I'd commit to 40 quid a month max but I'd hate to get bills of 60+ ... I don't use my phone a huge amount, mainly at the weekends and for texts ...

Hmm thinking pay as you go would be a better option ....
