First off, I must say I'm glad to see you guys setting up a forum on boards, I know a lot of folks will appreciate it !

My Yamaha 659 AV Receiver, which I have to confess I didn't buy off RS is in a bad way, it looks like the outputs to the front speakers is buggered. The YPOA isn't even detecting the front speakers. I'm guessing the warranty is only 1 year & its now 2 years old.

Do RS do repairs for components they haven't sold themselves ?

Fishfoodie, we normally don't do repairs for goods that have not been bought from either Richer Sounds or The Philips Shop - however - I ma sure we could break the rule for Boardies - however as ever we cannot guarantee success! If you are in Dublin you could drop the unit into The Philips shop on the corner of Dame Street & Georges Street (that's where our service centre is - in the basement (Engineers work much better in the dark...)) And we will do our best for you!

Thanks again for the post and if I can help just drop me a line,

    John McDonald
