Smashed ovation in need of repair!!! help

    hi all i need a little help with this one, my ovation which i have years met with an unfortunet accident a couple of weeks ago and i was wondering if any of you know where i could get it repaired, the damage is quite extensive to the body, and it's unplayable at the moment, i'm so sick over this, i just would love to have this sorted out,

    Wow, what happened to that?!

    Not sure if it's fixable but Derrick Nelson is probably the best person to ask. He's in Dublin though. I think there may be a repair guy in Kildare, someone here would have his details.

    Derrick is definitely the man. But OP what the hell happened!!!!, looks like it was thrown out of a moving car!

    thanks lads, i've just emailed dave with the pics, see if he cant do a job on it,

    as to what happened, well it's quite embarrissing but let just say i'm never going to drink again.

    Ouch.

    The bracing is likely f*cked too; that's going to need rebuilding, and there's probably going to need to be reinforcing patches all over the shop because of all the cracks. There's very little messing you can do to the top of an acoustic guitar without ruining the sound.

    You could be looking at having a new top built. Go with the best luthier you can find, rather than the closest/cheapest.

    +1 Look very bad and I would say probably better to get a new top as it will sound better then a patch top. Definitely a job for the best luthier you can get.

    Makes me cry to see a guitar like that. :(
