Hey guys, new to this forum but would appreciate any help.

My sister jus got an apartment and is gettin ntl digital in.
    She has a few questions.

    1) She wants to get in a VCR tape recorder and A DVD recorder (with or without hard drive). Is it possible to record any digital channel onto a DVD (or hard drive) and onto a normal VCR tape?

    2) Is it any better to use the hard drive recording box from ntl or get a DVD recorder with a HD.

    3) How is recording old VCR tapes onto a DVD done?

    Thanks for any help/

If you want to share/archive your recordings Get a DVD recorder.

On most retail Video cassette tapes, VideoCrypt is built into the video signal. And most (If not all) DVD recorders do not allow Video cassettes that have VideoCrypt enabled to be copied.

    thanks for the reply.

regardint teh vcr tapes to dvd. It would be just blank tapes with old tv recordings not film releases or anythin.
I hear you can do it by hooking up teh machines or via a pc
