Hey, my uncle recently got a new computer, he wants to get rid of the old computer, give it to a friend or something, but he first wants to fully clear the machine of everything on it, so i was thinking the easiest thing is to reformat the drive and reinstall XP?

This the best thing to do? Also, is it easy? Like with drivers and such.. (I've never done this before)

Darik's Boot and Nuke (Hard Drive Disk Wipe)

Then a reinstall, you may want to backup your drivers with a driver program first.

Very easy if you have the discs at hand already.
Do you know what type of machine it is?

No idea what machine it is or anything, he's giving it to me tomorrow evening at some stage, so i'll probably have a bash off it monday or tuesday...

I'll have a look at that Boot & Nuke thing as well, cheers...
