Whats the best price you can give on the Sony Bravia 40W4000?
In the market for one, just need to persuade the boss we need it ;)

Might be a good idea to have a sticky thread for each of the main product groups (LCD/Plasma/Seperates/Speakers....etc)???

BTW great customer service, I don't think there's been a thread with this many positive comments, on boards ever :) (I mean the thread in bargain alerts obviously)

    Cheers
    Ian

I'd say there should be a dedicated thread to lcds and plasmas alone.I would think they would be the most popular enquiry.I'm liking that 40W4000 as well.Probably a bit too expensive for me:(.I might be able to get a Bravia 40V4000, though.I know its a bit early as its only just been released but is there any chance of a quote on that??
Its great to have your own forum as well.I think boardsies are sick of being ripped off by the AV retailers down here

    Thabks again

I've emailed John Mc about a Samsung 46in tv thats on the UK Richersounds website. My query is will that tv (or any other UK sourced tv for that matter) work in this country as I've heard that they don't have the correct tuner that Irish sourced tvs have. If I'm wrong here, I'll probably order that tv as it is a superb model by all accounts.

I think Richer Sounds leans a bit more to the stereo side of things, would like to see a good deal on an LCD though!

Presumably the tuner is OK for here then? Does that apply to all TVs? I know in the old days, it didn't. We use UHF, they use VHF, or vice-versa. Maybe that's all gone out the window now, with cable etc?

I had the same query but John Mc assured me that this particular tv would work in this country as it has the required tuners.

Kingaa, did R'sounds have that tv in stock in Belfast or was it sourced from the UK?. I'm still waiting for mine to be delivered - wife and kids are going to visit her family in Mayo for next week and I was looking forward to spending some 'quality time' with my new tv, amps and speakers.

I think it was an "end of line" model, but he pulled out the stops and sourced it from Philips.
