Well, as these are guns are more readily availible in Ireland now, there may be a few owners wondering how the hell do they come apart, or if they come apart at all! I havent been able to find any guides on the net, just puzzled people wondering how exactly does the thing come apart!

Well, for those of you interested, below is a take down guide. Its the method I have used, which works. Be forewarned though, as you can see in the latter images, the trigger/hammer mechanism is held in place via tension, therefore:

    A. Take this thing apart VERY carefully and with patience!
    B. Do not do it outdoors, or somewhere that a flying spring is likely to get lost, as those spring can fly! And at times take a little arm with them!

    Tools required:
A single, small flat head screwdriver.

    Ok, so here we go.....

    1a.jpg
    1. Remove the magazine

    2-1.jpg
    2. Remove the screw on the right hand side, for the fire selector.

    3-1.jpg
    3. Remove the fire selector switch.

    4.jpg
    4. With the hammer UNCOCKED and the safety set to SAFE, get a firm grip of the barrel and the handle.

Push the barrell and grip together, if you know what I mean, you want to slide the top slide rearward. It may be a little stiff, but will go. Be careful and gentle, dont hit it too hard or fast, just apply gently pressure.

    5.jpg
    5. By now you should feel the top slide moving back, bringing with it the trig/hammer mechanism.

    6.jpg
    6. At this stage I COCK the hammer and set the safety to FIRE. To go any further you will have to press in the 'firing pin', and keep it pressed in.

    7.jpg
    7. With the firing pin pressed in, continue sliding the top slide back, at the same time keeping the firing pin pressed in.

    8.jpg
    8. The trig mech. housing will now clear the body and all that is left to do is...

    9.jpg
    9. ...slide the top slide off the remainder of the way.

    10.jpg
    11.jpg
The trigger/hammer mechanism is attached to the top slide, but can be removed. its only held in place via an arm which grasps the fake firing pin.

    12.jpg
    13.jpg
The trigger/hammer mechanism removed, as stated already, be careful with this, its like Buckaroo, one wrong move and it could buck-buck-BUCKAROO! haha

    14.jpg
She's currently all stripped down to under go 'aging', so I havent got a 'reassembly', I'll leave that to you to figure out. Basically just the steps above in reverse. Any problems, gimme a shout!

Who has these over here, btw? The only one I've seen is a non-blow back version.

    Nice necropost...

the fire selector does nothing - it's there for the look, the safety is beside the hammer
