I'm going to try the o2 broadband. There are 3 different modems available. What is the difference between them?

    Thanks

E220 - not future proofed for HSUPA
    E270 - Best all round
    E169 - Small

I am having trouble with my E169, it will only work on the USB port you install it on originally and not any port as should be the case. Tis handy for the laptop though.

My sister has an E270 and is having some troubles with it. I have an E220, no problems at all, and it's ony 20 euro now. Future proof might be an issue, but how long will it be till we see HSUPA?

Is there any/much difference in performance at the moment or is future-proofing the only difference?
I'd definitely go with the e220 if future-proofing is the only difference.

Got the 169 because they were sold out of the 220.
It's fairly slow. Did a check on speedtest.net and it gave 50k download speed and 70k upload.
Thought it would be faster from what I saw online and I'm in the city centre of Limerick.
Also it doesn't fit too neatly into my laptop (xps 1530) - there isn't really enough room beside the power cable - more a design flaw of the laptop that though.
Might return it within the 30 days if the speed doesn't improve.
