    Hi

I have an old mmds aerial however i cancelled ages ago. A mate of mine is calling in a few weeks and i was wondering if he brings his receiver box with him will we just be able to plug it in and pick up channels or do Chorus block a receiver on the actual aerial?

    thanks

In theory, if there is a valid subscription / viewing card (the latter if digital) attached to your friend's box, it should work. But what you are proposing to do is almost certainly outside the Terms & Conditions of the service and may be illegal.

There are at least 3 frequency plans and thus the box may not work.

Also ex NTL and ex Chorus UPC systems are incompatible.
