I have a tesco sim, but haven't used it in awhile. Just after putting it into a phone and its not picking up any signal. I know networks can re-issue numbers but its only been about 3 months so whats the reason? Ringing it goes to mailbox so not that it was ported to someone else,, any ideas?

Tried it in 2 phones to be sure!

call them. If a number is never topped up they might reassign it. I don't know for sure how tesco does it tbh, which brings me back to my original point, call them

yes i will have to call them, but i would have thought it would have been more like 12months not three. I didnt top it up but used it for a little bit

Try selecting the network manually on the phone (but unlikely to make a difference).

It could also just be an issue with your sim. Try a sim card replacement - worst case scenario is that it doesn't work!!!

As unlikely as it was, it worked! Bit surprised by that but cheers ;)

Was your phone set to manual network selection previously? That would explain it then :)

No, it wasn't, even if you put it to manual, after a reboot i think it defaults to auto anyways. I tried it in 3 phones,, and none of them picked anything up. kinda strange! It worked anyway,,,,so im happy :pac:

I just tried my tesco sim now and it has expired.. After less than 12 months. Does anyone know if tesco has other validity periods than o2?

How do you know it has expired? Not getting signal? If so try manual search as it fixed it for me still had remaining credit on it
