Website Advertising and Tax?

    Quick question guys.

    If a website is generating income from advertising does it have to pay any taxes on these adverising sales?

    Yes, assuming your registered for VAT and therefore charging VAT.

    You charge VAT on ad sales, pay VAT on ad purchases. You can offset one against the other, as per usual.
