If the popular media is to believed, bearded people (or homo sapiens ++ as I like to describe them) are almost always evil evil bastards. Is this accurate? Take Die Hard last night, the evil Hans/bearded DeValera is a typical example. Even wolverine is of questionable ethics, due no doubt to his wonderous chops. What do ye think lads?

Not all bearded people. I'm not evil. :)

Actually it's interesting how peoples attitude changes towards you when you have a beard. More people come up to me and just talk to me randomly now. I guess its kinda a conversation starter.

Really I never noticed that, but I try not to look like a person you want to approach randomly.

I think my shaved head/chin beard combo often gives me the demeanour of someone who might do evil deeds.

However, combined with my diminutive stature and "cuddly" looks, I don't think manage to look quite evil enough. :(

The diet coke of evil, if you will.

Evil, no way. Just portrayed in that light sometimes. Now I am off to complete my takeover of this insignificant planet....:D

In my ID i have a beard and i was showing a friend who reckoned i looked like a thug with it, normal without it.

    Beards change people

Funny that, I get asked for ID when I'm clean shaven and that's about the only difference. I look shockingly youthful without a beard and with a shaved head (otherwise the thinning gives it away).

Its not the moustached men that are evil, its the moustaches themselves:

i grew a beard because i heard that you don't trust a bearded fellow as they are covering up their faces and hence hiding something.................... so i grew a beard as i have skinny girly body and i want to intimidate people who pass me on the street and may want to ask me to sign up to some charity or buy a ridiculous scratch card which no one wins.

i just want to be feared.

what about Chuck Norris? he was a bad mother f*cker, but he wasn't evil

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,177 ✭✭✭DenMan

Or Mr T, he definitely wasn't evil. Clubber Lang was definitely different to Mr T, more aggressive and cocky. Intimidating most definitely, but evil, NO.

Radovan Karadzic before and after beard.

It is clear by the evidence above, that great evil and despicable torturous acts may be due to a lack of facial follicles.

Afterwards with a suitable beard installed, the dictator becomes a new age health guru and all round calm and spiritual nice guy.

    Two words-

    Osama Bin-Laden

But then again there is wise beard man, whose words are wise and face is beard.

    Me? I haven't been without a beard since I was 16. I can't imagine life without it!

Am I evil? Most people would say so, I think.

Bearded men are most definately NOT evil. I, a fellow bearded man since 17, can verify this. Still not convinced? Well, just ask famed beardies Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin: two men brought together by their....fanciful facial hair!
Would they, or indeed I, lie to you?
    *evil smirk*

Well I have a beard and I'm pretty fucking evil :p

I ate 2 new born kittens this morning whilst the 8 year old little girl that owned them watched. Then on the way to work I purposely knocked down loads of kids coming out of a kindergarten , just because I could :D

And don't get me started on my plans for the weekend !!! Agent Orange in the drinking water anyone ??

    No.

However, evil men are frequently bearded.

Shouldn't he look the same before and after having a beard?

What about Marty Whelan?? There's no way he's evil! Or is he......?????

EDIT: but then again he doesn't have a beard, just a tache so my post is pretty pointless... sorry. I'm tired....

Bearded men are known to be a lot more approachable and friendlier than say some bloke who shaves routinely. :D

    I have a goatee ... and I'm evil.

That said, my moustache is probably the evil bit and the chinny is merely7 keeping the lower bit of my jaw warm.
