Like it says on the tin, who do you use and why?

I use King Dedede, his grab combos are quite good and hes quite powerful.

Fringe

Meta Knight - I find he's really good. His B special is really useful and he's good for damage.
Pit - Similar to Meta Knight.
Ice Climbers - I like using two characters. They're both really powerful.

Luigi, B up is a killer move (on the wavebird...havent tried any of the new fangled controls).

Lucas (or sometimes Ness) would be my main brawler of choice. PK Thunder :pac:
One of those two or Pit (great mix between defense and attack) are usually the ones I end up picking.

Peach, Wario, Dedede and Metaknight have been pretty nice.


Peach and Mario were my characters in Melee but Mario is well nerfed and Peach's down smash is no longer the imbalanced killer it used to be. Dedede seems like a slower Peach though so I've taken to him nicely.
Wario has seemed like such fun to use that I've actually gotten fairly decent with him. His fart is actually a pretty nice finisher, his air game seems fairly alright.

That said, over 5 or 6 years of Melee, I went from Captain Falcon to Sheik/Zelda to Mario/Dr Mario to Peach and then improved with all of them. Took 6 years to find out how awesome Peach is though.

When I get the game I'll probably go for Snake. I just like the idea of hiding in a cardboard box during a fight.

Mine's Pit for sure. Especially good for me because i'm horrible at recovering.

I am playing through the adventure and liking meta knight a lot but in multiplayer I will probably stick with my character from melee,

Peach, nothing more satisfying then winning the fight with that bimbo, and great for frustrating whoever you are playing

Pikachu. Juggling people with thunderbolts ftw. I have been practicing with Pit as his recovery is so very good.

I'm using a gamecube controller too so im already brill at it.

In that order.Zelda's gotten a lot faster and she has a great Final Smash,but she was my favourite from melee anyway.

Link, was for the other two games. i think they made him a bit slower this time but the could be said about them all.
D.K. Speed and power make him pretty easy to use.

Wolf Primarly as i played Fox in the other two games , and he is a slower faster fox and his up special deos not have a charge up time ,

If i am playing against a char with good recovery like pit , kirby metaknight etc i play as Lucas , pk thunder !!!

And for Fun i play as Sheik ,

Tried out Snake a bit, but I don't really "get" him yet!

man the variety of answers really speaks volumes for the character balance.

I used to play as samus in the old Smash Bro's but have switched to overpowered snake

Marth was my main character in Meele, but in Brawl I don't like him, he doesn't seem as good anymore

Now I'm using Meta Knight, an amazing character, I love knocking someone into the air then following them right up and continuing to hit them.

Ike is incredible too, pure powerhouse, but just a tad too slow to be perfect.

I never like Marth in melee,he was a wuss in relation to Link,really easy to knock out.Haven't really compared the two in brawl yet.
